oh god sorry for being so late to this. i kind of forgot i had a retrospring. anyways i was absolutely obsessed with shanti for a pretty long time when it first came out so i have a lot to say about the SEKAI version!! shanti is a song made for a lower range… and i see a lot of female utaites use their lower range for the song because of this. however vivids in shanti just… didn’t do that? like i know an can sing lower she LITERALLY did it in pheles. i just think that if the vivids used their lower range it would sound a looot better? like the cover isn’t atrocious but i really think that there’s a lot of wasted potential there because vivids sound like they’re singing an entirely different song. the contrast could have sounded good but an and kohane just sound… jarring… overall i think shanti would have been better as a bad dogs cover but they could have used the vivids lower range for a full cover
