oh man I could write a 10 page paper about my favorite things about them. I love them as people on their own of course but when they're together, there's something so comforting, homey, and warm about their dynamic to me. I think that technically can be said for any dream combination but I think mark and renjun have this bond like "Being with you is easy". They're the two oldest so they make the effort to take care of dream the most. I think they probably are some of the most self sacrificing people for the sake of wanting to make things work. Mark is so patient and willing to compromise for other people while Renjun has so much empathy and cares so so so much. Which makes them really work well as two pillars in dream. I think a lot about that one clip of the guy who analyzed dream (I forgot the exact show was called but it was when they were kinda dressed like scouts during hot sause era) but he talked about how Mark was like the dad and Renjun was like the mom within dream, which perfectly encompasses the way they take care of dream while also it relates to their relationship and the members will still sometimes say those two are like the mom and dad. (they do act a bit married… that clip of mark talking about how he knows when renjun is gonna scold him hsjkds and he’s like oh no what did I do, how did I mess up now? Thats soooo married behavior of them) It's so apparent they rely on each other a lot while also trying to be the ppl dream can rely on the most. Renjun time and time has talked about how when he has troubles he specifically goes to mark. And because mark is the only other member in dream who is older than renjun... he expects mark to take care of him since he’s his hyung (and mark does 🥹 he does it so well). They have this mutual adoration and appreciation for one another that they’ve always been vocal about and I find it so sweet. Within a setting of all seven of them of course they still have unserious bickering or teasing one another but in settings when it’s just them two (like their dream vs dream or 7llin when they shared the bed tgt) they treat each other very sweetly it kinda makes me crazy… you can feel the way they adore each other. Like the other person is just so precious to you and it shows. I feel like what a lot of ppl who like markren notice is how they keep to themselves, “private but not secret” It’s kinda funny bc I think most ppl say this about this in a joking rps “oh my god they basically went on a date we didn’t see” kinda way but I do think they are the type of people to hold dear moments hush just for themselves and they aren’t necessarily hiding everything on purpose but they also don’t feel the need to divulge in it. Like for the longest time the busan trip. They never went into detail until this year and mark talks about it like it was one of the most life changing moments in their relationship. As well as all the other “trips” they hinted at in their dream v dream that they did together. It was as if they’d circle around the topic because both of them knew what the other person was talking about but we the audience do not know and we’re watching an inside joke not made for us hskjds like should I leave the room? Do you guys need to be alone? Anyway I was just trying to say I think its cute they keep precious memories for themselves to bask in and we as the bystanders just have to go a little insane imagining it (WHAT HAPPENED IN LA YOU TWO??? GRRR). Okay this is getting long. Let me just say like one more thing shjkds I think a lot about how I’ve seen some people say markren’s dynamic is boring but I only think they believe that not because they don’t have chemistry but I think because Mark and Renjun have a dynamic that is quiet and easy going. It makes me think of when you're friends with someone who you just enjoy being around, the two of you don’t need to do anything in particular, you just enjoy basking in the other person’s presence. And that is so markren to me, bc renjun and mark don’t really have anything they like that’s the same LOL (reminds me of renjun saying it would be hard for them to date. Like do you want me to be insane? Renjun, mark said he would do anything you wanted to ITS BC HE LIKES YOU WAHHH. That's a whole other thing. The way mark would do anything to make sure renjun is happy. Go on scary rides even though he doesn't like them, take trips to places renjun chooses or trying hobbies renjun like’s to get to understand him better like drawing. What the fawkkk i didnt even make these up man.) but their lack of commonality doesn’t affect how much they seem to enjoy being with each other. And I think that’s so beautiful… well I just thought of like 100 more things that make me crazy about markren. Dont get me started on the way mark will make or do the sweetest things solely because he knows renjun would like it… lemon destroying, sweaty napkin rose making crazy and insane renchin. I’m done, I need to be dragged into the asylum ahhhhhh
