to my understanding they aren't necessarily buried so much as dumped? and then after several hours the ant comes to it senses and crawls back to its normal life.. i think there's an easily findable youtube video on it it's a very interesting topic

wwyd if u were an ant who helped bury ur ant husband and then a few hours later ur not-dead-dead ant husband comes crawling back into ur tunnel
