i'd say it's good! really challenging gameplay even at the lower levels, and very vibrant story telling :o
plus the good thing about touhou is that even if you aren't good at the mainline games, there's still more to pick up from side-series and fan games; there are fighting games and manga as part of the official lore, and many fangames have a wide variety of genres to choose from! :D
