so glad u asked anon because i'm willing to explain the appeal for mzmf to you ^__^ anyway it's already quite obvious that the two of them relate to each other a lot and have parallels, they have similar struggles with their identity and they both understand each other's struggles really well and mzk can empathise with mafuyu (with them saying that they'd be really sad if mafuyu were to disappear) they really care about each other too and it's evident in the secret distance event with mizuki being really worried about mafuyu, they even went to the sekai to check on her to make sure that she wasn't feeling the same way she did in the main story. mizuki tries to make mafuyu choose for herself and bring her into conversations because they know well that she has never been able to choose for herself (mafuyu also plays along with mizuki's jokes w) i could go on more about why they're so appealing to me but i think this is enough ww — mod 🌟
