I think in postcanon he would get a pet cat. Maybe when he comes back from florence to japan like for good… but it would have to be a completely unpredictable situation like he just finds a baby kitty under a bridge somewhere and he rescues it and takes it home because it won’t leave his side. And he also feeds stray cats in florence :-)
