i would. but i only do that after trying to make the best out of it first. if the person you love isn't happy with you anymore then it's better to let go even if you still love them. it will turn one sided and the situation will hurt more than letting go. that's why communication is very important. i would talk a lot about it to figure out what's the best. it's all what the other wants and i think i would let the other make the decision to break up or not.
