How do you imagine how Sonic and Shadow would raise their kids?
There will be learning pains, Sonic just wants to take them on adventures and have fun all the time. Shadow's only concern is they can fend for themselves and teaches them to fight, and i think both of them will have their own issues and hangups in seeing themselves as dads. lucky for them they have a support network of friends ot help them out, i definitely think they will play a major role in helping raise those kids right cause both dads are kinda stupid.

like the other anon said about GUN, I never liked the goverments and militaries because they do more harm than actually being useful and represents corruption in this messed up reality. the goverment and militaries in sonic's world and our world are the real villains. they don't care about the weak, the disabled and children, no one at all. all they want is greed and power to bring pain and misery

Let’s talk about merch for a second (long paragraph in coming lol) This Valentines Day there’s a Sonamy plush bouquet and “Sonknux” Valentines Day matching squishmallows, annnd there’s even Valentines Day shirts saying along the lines of “Sonic is my Valentine” and of various characters and there’s also Valentines Day cards showing Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Amy on them. All of this is official merch and despite Shadow being an extremely popular character (I’d argue he’s the second or third most popular character) he’s not on anything..maybe it’s too early to say since it’s not even February yet but it’s so disappointing as a Shadow and Sonadow fan to see the lack of merch for him and the ship. I get it, Sonadow isn’t a ship that SEGA wants canon but after seeing the matching Sonic and Knuckles squishmallows, it’s disappointing to see that the pairing between Sonic and Shadow is getting no recognition in terms of Valentines Day merch, at the very least it got recognized twice on JP Sonic’s website but I’d like to have some merch of it to put in my room. I was thinking that “friendship” rings or maybe plush keychains where each one has half of heart for it to connect into the other one would be cute (and although this isn’t Valentines Day themed, a Funko Pop pride edition of Sonic and Shadow would be great too, especially since SEGA publicly supports the LGBTQ) what do you think? Any ideas and how do you feel about it? Apologies for any grammar mistakes.
Yeah I agree with you, putting sonadow aside it makes no sense why there is no shadow merch at all. Like im pretty sure if you took a poll among fans on who they want to be their valentine shadow would win, i think hed even beat the blue rat. So who on earth thought it was a good idea to exclude him from the merch line? to me it feels like a total no brainer that shadow valentine merch would sell like hotcakes. not like they have to put effort into it either since they use the same uekawa stock photos everytime. So i really got no idea what the reasoning here is. Sonadow friendship rings would be cute, I have definitely seen popular yaoi ships in anime get that kind of merch, even if they are non canon rival pairings, so i dont see why sonadow cant have any. they already have some friendship necklace thing from hot topic i think.

okay when they’re kissing whose hands go in the other’s quills and whose hands find their way into the small of the other’s back
spicy question wao. my real answer is that theres no way they can keep in one place and their hands just run over each other in a frenzied way. but since thats kind of a cop out answer ill say sonic stays more on the lower end around the small of shadows back and shadow is the one who runs through the quills both on sonics head and back (sometimes by his non existant neck)

Honestly them talking about canonicity in the first place is so dumb for me, but I’ll go with it then. If we talkin about canonicity, Shadow might not always willing to go out with Sonic, but I suppose he enjoys them whenever he does? I dont really understand why Sonic would have to "slow down" for Shadow. I think that Sonic and Shadow are equally independent souls and their lives move at an equally fast pace too. probably the only other character to match sonic's bad habit of disappearing on people whenever he feels like is Shadow. I said this in a previous ask but I think if sonadow were to happen in canon they wouldnt be hanging out all the time and might not even meet that often at all while on their own seperate adventures, but it is the brief moments they share together that keep them connected and linger on. Neither of them would want the other to change. I also dont see why Sonic living a fast paced life would annoy Shadow, Shadow is annoyed by Sonic when Sonic gets in his way. I think the way Sonic lives his life is of no concern to Shadow. If Shadow were to develop feelings for him and get in a relationship I think his only concern would be that Sonic doesnt foolishly throw his life away, but Shadow has enough confidence in Sonic's abilities. That actually reminds me of another example, the thing in Colors DS where he basically seeked Sonic out himself just to test him to see if he was ready to save the day. I dont think he would have done that if he hated Sonic that much.
As for Amy, well, I think she can potentially keep up with Sonic's lifestyle. I think she is more than capable, strong and talented. But I dont think thats what she wants. All of their early dynamic is of her wanting Sonic to marry her and even raise a child together. That aside, something that sets apart Sonic and Amy as heroes is that Amy is more connected to the people around her than Sonic is. This is why we see her taking up a sort of resistance leader role for a while in IDW. She wants to be there for people she cares about, whether her friends or larger community. Make sure they are okay, even after the fight is over. Sonic on the other hand is like "my work here is done" and then dissappears for 5 months without explanation in an uncharted zone and comes back with a souvenir fridge magnet
