divine spirit Yuji only starts to believe megkuna is his husband when he starts killing entire cities and leaving piles of dead bodies everywhere.
Yuji is very 🥹🥹🥹 about it because he really missed his husband.
They met back when sukuna first became a curse, Yuji had found him fresh and weak, and nursed him back to full health. He believes in everything has a place in the world (even curses), and if something starts to tip the balance of it, something will naturally come along to right it. If curses weren’t meant to be part of the natural cycle, humans shouldn’t have created them.
It was love at first sight for Yuji, and while sukuna grew stronger and learned how his new curse body worked, he was also feeling flustered about this cute, ethereal guy tending to him with a blush on his face.
Yuji who fell in love with sukuna at his most monsterous part of his life, who did not get morally up in arms when sukuna confessed to loving stomping out whoever opposed his whims, and just kept going you’ll come visit me right?? I just get so lonely.
Since Yuji is bound to his small temple of worship, he can’t follow sukuna as much as he wants too. Eventually sukuna starts leaving bodies as offers to Yuji, and consummates their marriage on a pile of said corpses which then in turn frees Yuji to roam as he pleases because his power is tied to how much he’s worshipped.
Divine spirits are very small gods, not very powerful so they usually serve as servants for the big and powerful gods. Yuji doesn’t even know what he’s the small god of, other than it involves death, because the death god never came to get him to make him a servant to tell him what he’s the god of. Death was like this twink is not cute enough for me, they got a harem, and scoffed at collecting Yuji.
Yuji is actually the small god of those who should die surrounded by others; which is why when sukuna offers groups of dead people he gets stronger because they didn’t die alone, they died with a bunch of other people.
Yuji pouts about megkuna’s waist being small enough for Yuji to wrap both of his legs around it. And the fact that megkuna’s tongue doesn’t bulge out his throat anymore when they kiss.
Megkuna torments Yuji by overstimulating him, he knows all of yuji’s weak spots, because he missed Yuji who begs him so sweetly for more, harder, to stop teasing him.
