Not related to that aal0vingslut account but I remember some f/f accs only were actually very weird about F1r3fly because how Hoyo promoted her (you know the part where they paired her with Ca3lus more than St3lle) they keep saying that she's a flop and she only for the incels. I clearly remember because I was following someone and unfollowed them instantly because of their weird tweets about her, and the upsetting things is it's not just that acc but some others too. As F1refly main I don't understand the hate because gameplay wise she's good and while it was justified if some people were upset with how Hoyo keep pushing the TB's gf part for her but as character she's still pretty much interesting
personally i saw a lot of people being disappointed about firefly at the time and didnt notice the prevalence of f/f-only accounts that you mention but im not very into hsr fandom (luckily). i guess the radfems crowd didn't like her being associated with a man?
in general i think the disappointment towards her character is as you said understandable but i see some people really hating on her like she's written as a mindless trailblazer simp (cough wuwa moment) but she isnt. her relationship with the trailblazer reminds me of what genshin did with xiao tbh and i think it makes sense.
