helloo, zombie! 🍎 of course i have ٩(^.^)۶ i love these movies as well.. suuuch good films, i think about them a lot too !! 🍰 long ago..back when i had ccat i had received a question about zero day, and i went all autistic..i’m gonna do a small little ramble if that’s fine with you..
with elephant, i’ve always thought about alexs disconnection with people, with the world—his apathy. we’re only given so little, and i believe it’s intended to be this way with how the movie is executed, but i’m inclined to believe that alex is rather privileged home-wise with the seemingly sweet, lax parents, with ability to pay for piano lessons. this is all just what we can infer from the film, and that’s the beauty of it. alex is selfish, and is ignorant of the good life he has (kind of like the majority of school shooters…..☁️) and erics death was premeditated, planned. i’m sure alex had in mind that his plan was going to end with one man standing above the rest. i like to think that the contrast of the two boys outfits can signify that the two were not on the same page, at all, alex was reading a whole different book. alex donned all black, the cargo pants, heavy-duty boots and everything, my boy was on a mission!!!! while eric kind of looked like a duck hunter.. he looked like an inexperienced child dressing up to me at first glance, alex had the genuine get up…. eric is a poor boy, weren’t not given anything with him, so this is mostly just my vague interpretation. eric was just an unfortunate, bullied boy that had miserably found solace in alex, he may have confided in him..late nights of sleeping in the same room together, you’d think eric would open up about many personal things (alex listens silently, maybe even falling asleep to it, not really giving a hoot! just more gasoline to light the burning flame) but, the two share that bullied school life, and that’s just enough to make two boys go insane. they’re both cute! to me! miserable boys 🌟
with zero day.. i must say that i am like some rare kind of breed zd fan, being strangely allured to the thought of rachel and andre even interacting together, it eats away at my mind.. squishes the clip of andre keuk saying he has the most massive crush on rachel during the time of filming, against a table, until it pops and gets all over the surface but, out of the boys, i do prefer andre. cal..frightens me? he’s such an awkwardly funny boy, seeing him so dissociated from this world, seeing him so..strange, with that bright blonde hair of his, it feels so uncanny, so creepy. he is extremely violent, all of it just screeching to come out of his mouth, his hands, his body. it’s unsettling to think, if he didn’t have andre, i’m sure he’d be jus a serial killer of sorts, starting with tiny animals of course, he’d kidnap you.. take you to his barren basement.. shudders.. he freaks me out!!! in a very strange way ;; i just picture it, him smiling, laughing like the teenage boy he is, as he shoves the barrel of a gun into your open wound. where did that goofball go, huh? T_T just a random tidbit, i think he sleepwalks.. andre, he is much more of a logical thinker, he takes time to process situations and evaluate his thoughts n feelings! so cute! he knows what’s stupid and what’s not. if he sees something stupid he’s gonna call it out, wether it be mentally or verbally. i think he has this desire for validation, for praise (wuh oh, andre kriegman praise kink coming at you….) with the scene where he’s in the car with his father and how his father says how proud he is of him, i don’t think andre has ever heard that from him. and just right before zero day, and andre tries to stay distant in this scene it feels, he knows he can’t let himself get staggered by this, this humane want to be accepted by your dad. i’m sure it made his heart sink deeply, and he thinks in the car..damn, he really doesn’t know.. (i love how we’re all doomed!) what intrigues me is how he’s described by rachel: stand-offish, off-beat, full of anger..andre what did you say to that girl…… (my delusion is that he mentally makes rape threats towards her, just impulsively maybe, or maybe his anger does run that deep!…) most likely he just said some rude, maybe violent things about some people in school he didn’t particularly like, and rachel found it to be a little harsh.. i kind of love how andre puts it into his own words: she’s scared of him, afraid, thinks he’s some effing psycho! (he is) because he sees himself as a big bad monster, and he really is! i do believe that rachel is a bit intimidated by him, and i lust for that dynamic… if andre were confident enough and feeling a bit risky, he could probably tease her, pick at her, subconsciously let her walk back into a corner, getting reaaally close; trapping her. though, he lets her free, lets her breathe. he controlled how that situation would go, and he let her free! be happy rachel! (^^)/
there’s this little conspiracy on what kind of music andre listens to, and i’ve evaluated on this before, but i really don’t think he enjoys music. he’ll let mumble jumble play in the radio, not listen to it. he feels like music is some flanderized piece of media, singing about how other feels, how other experience things, andre doesn’t care about how you feel, and what you experience… he thinks it’s stupid.
i don’t think people talk enough about how..when that one boy called andre sir, and andre was inclined to take a liking to that “sir?” “he called you sir, hehehe.” “i like thaat!” =) that higher-being validation… anyways i think i’m done speaking now, i’m sure there’s more, but i’m whipped. 🎀
