Hi, I just have a question about Sydney and Austin. I'm just curious, is their relationship the result of the apocalypse pushing them into an enforced closeness or were they already leaning that way and the apocalypse just sped things up?
I guess the better question is, how long before the moments you've shared between them did the apocalypse happen? Like how old was Sydney when the world went to shit?

the apocalypse is what pushed them together!! sydney's 13 when the apocalypse starts and austin 40 B) sydney's always been a daddy's boy honestly, so him and austin have always been really close and they go through some rough stuff when the world goes to shit so their closeness and overprotectiveness of each other skyrockets... they basically become glued at the hip and can't really handle being out of each others sights
there might've been something more there between them just under the surface before the apocalypse happened but if there was then they both would definitely have just assumed that was typical familial love
as for when things change between them it's hard to say but it'd definitely be many months into the apocalypse for them to act on their feelings in a sexual way, most of the art i've posted is technically based much later into their story o7 (i am a pining/slow burn enjoyer so you can expect my art/stories to reflect that LOL) you can kinda judge how late into the story i'm drawing based on whether or not sydney's eye has been injured or not! no injury = somewhat early into the apocalypse hehe
