are fics that are a little more than 10k but definitely less than 11k allowed? So something like 10.6k
To meet our fic guidelines, fics must have 10k hits or less if they are a oneshot and 5k hits or less per chapter if they are a multific. While every fic deserves love regardless of hits, we feel that the fairest decision is to honor those guidelines without exception. That said, we try to offer lots of opportunities to highlight fics that don't meet this guideline through events where we welcome and repost all fic recs, from obscure to well-known!

Hi!! First off I love you guys and your account, I've found so many amazing fics, so thank you so much. I got into the MHA fandom a few months ago and the experience has been so fun because of like interactive the fandom has been.
Okay so I wanted to ask about the fic rec week, are there any limitations on the recommendations like if I wanted to recommend some darker fics? Or on anything else? Should I leave like a warning or something? Thanks!

There are no limitations to the fics you send so long as they meet our requirements, and darker fics are welcome. We always recommend people tag appropriately when possible. We trust our followers and the fandom to mind the tags and read responsibly with every fic as well.

a lot of submissions posted by the same person - are you still going through the Google forms or are they closed then?
The Google form is always open for new fic submissions! We do not close the form for new fic submissions at all and post fics in the order we receive them. For example, one of our co-head mods submitted multiple fics to the form at the same time, so those fic spotlights are posted in a row.

Is there a place like this for non bkdk fics? Don't get me wrong, I love bkdk with my whole heart, but there are so many hidden fics with maybe no ships or very minor ones that I feel deserve to be read.
We absolutely agree! There are a million fics out there that deserve all the love in the world. We haven't seen anything similar but you never know - maybe one day!

Hi there! Yes, submissions to the old form will still be posted and have been scheduled to post through the rest of the month. If you don't see your submission by the start of 2024, please don't hesitate to resubmit on our new form!

Correct us if we're wrong, but it sounds like you're searching for a fic rather than submitting one! We only post fic submissions and require a link as well, so we wouldn't be able to post a request like that. So sorry we couldn't help!

no, we do not have any requirements for the fics shared during bkdkbk celebration week! all fics are welcome, regardless of the hit count.

You are more than welcome to recommend a fic we’ve already posted! We may wait some time before posting so we don’t post the same work too many times, but we want to show as much love as possible to all fics — whether it’s been posted before or not.

We disclose whether a fic is completed or ongoing on our Tumblr page, and are exploring adding that as an option on our Obscure BKDKBK Fic Library (which will be updated in the next few weeks). We'll discuss ways to disclose that information on our Twitter as well!

It's not too much to ask! When fic writers disclose dynamics (and other specific details), we include those as often as the Twitter character counts allow. It isn't always possible, but we do our best!

do u read every fic sent ur way? some have comments and some dont, or do u just not have anything to say about the ones with comments?
Hi there! The submitter's note come directly from those who share a fic with us to be posted. When submitting a fic for Obscure BKDKBK, you can share a note with the fic that we will post (if the fic meets our guidelines). Hope that helps explain where the "comments" come from! We do try to read every fic sent our way — we aren't always able to, but we always include submitter notes!
