The dialogue in the Long Game is one of the best things about it!! (Of many, many equally best things, tbh) Various things each character said were maybe sort of unhinged and off the wall, but in the BEST way. I was caught up right away in how each character had his own authentic voice, and that the ridiculous things they say aren't like you as the author being "LOLZ I'M JUST SO FUNNY AND WEIRD MAKING MY CHARACTERS SO GOOFY," but that everything seemed to be said for a reason, to develop the characters and plot, and everything always seemed carefully tailored to each character's personality. They're all a little intense, sure, but in such an enjoyable way that really serves your story well!
ahhhh im so glad you think so!!!!! thank you so much. i have a ton of fun with it and my most favorite part of writing is thinking about who they are as characters so i am glad that shows in a way. i just initially wrote it with no intention to share while i was in a crazy headspace and hadn't revisited it since, so some of the things i was like.... woah i would not have wrote it like that under different circumstances. but i stand by them being intense little weirdo freaks always. im glad u enjoy. thank you so so so much this is so so kind ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
