Idk if it's just me but I notice that a lot of NaniDan's songs are in the higher range for male vocals? One time in the Sachiare recording a lot of them seemed to have difficulty reaching the higher notes and harmonies.
Oh, hmm, interesting observation! I think their songs are standard but skew a little higher since they have Hassun who can hit those notes 🤔 I'm not sure if I'm explaining it right.

What are Naniwa Danshi fanfics like (the Japanese ones I mean)? I hear that a lot of them are kinda dark
I've only read a couple so I can't speak for the majority, but they're not the type of fics I usually prefer. Though sometimes I get that Johashi craving and will read anything 😂

I'm at such a degree of Johashi brainrot that just THREE is impossible, so here's three of my WIPs:
Johashi canon-compliant after Ryun but before Naniwa Danshi is formed, potentially either skipping forward in time to present day or a 2-3 part series
- Johashi canon-divergent AU in which Hassun has to take a break from work because of vocal nodes or something (touch wood), Jo realizes he's lost without him
- Johashi AU in which they wake up connected by the red string of fate but they're not actually dating (yet) <- this one I'm still tossing around in my head but I love the trope so much lol

Baseball otaku Jo is actually named after a boxer! According to an old Jr era profile, Jo's dad is a fan of Tatsuyoshi Joichiro, a former boxing world champion 🤼♂️ The funniest thing? His nickname is "Naniwa no Joe", even though he isn't from Naniwa/Kansai 😂

Why did you come about choosing this name for yourself?
oldricecooker? It's actually from a very old jweb 😂 Ryo visited his parents' house back in 200...6? And wrote an emotional jweb about how everything had slowly changed but his mom still insisted on using their old rice cooker which had served them faithfully for decades. I needed to change my username at that point and I remembered this jweb, so I went with it!
