people fail to understand that regarding sasusaku, the problem wasn't a lack of moments shared, they had plenty as team 7, but none of them were romantic from sasuke's pov. nothing about the way he treated sakura stood out, or was unique to his relationship with her, nothing. it's different with naruto because we got a lot of things building up external to their bond, they connect in many ways that go beyond their brief relationship in team 7, so it's a more believable relationship (as a friendship, brotherhood, romance, whatever you want to interpret it as). but sasusaku felt one sided, in the way sakura felt SO MUCH and sasuke felt too little. he never, and not even to this day, gives her the same energy back. he seems to like her and respect her, but romantic love was just never there for me. so yes, they had more moments together than any other canon pairings, but those moments amount to nothing in my view because sakura never had any effect on sasuke.

I agree oomf, Naruto never showed any slightest of romantic interest towards hinata, he had way more bonding with sasuke, Sakura, gaara, neji, he said more romantic shit to all these people when compared to whatever the said to hinata
If he even has a slightest interest in her, he would’ve approached her after the war but he didn’t, he never bothered to pursue any romantic feelings with her for 2 years after the war

I mean sure, he acknowledged her, but so did he with every other character. Naruto had vital moments with every other character, it ain’t any special with hinata. It always had been one sided from hinata, nothing from Naruto

in my retrospring having me speak about naruhina in 1 sitting more than i’ve spoken about them in 5 years
me when i’ve never read the manga, you could have at least said there was no panel of him outright confessing but then again that’s the exact same for every other ship in the game 💀 same naruto who btw remembered that she sacrificed herself for him. same naruto who made a blood oath just because he didn’t like how neji treated her. same naruto who said that he likes people like hinata. at least lie better 😭

anything reciprocal and of substance that could actually build them up? no. there’s so many gaps, it was like taking one step forward and 20 back. it was only obvious because of the backpedaling kishi was doing during the war where he had sasuke reject her advances again as he usually does, and then kakashi talking out of his ass. it was obvious then that kishimoto was trying to fix all the shit he had set up which makes it fall through and feel insincere. it’s why those novels also feel disingenuous.
