I hope this doesn’t sound crazy but when the full chapter dropped yesterday and the conversations started I immediately thought about your “tragic gojo” thread, it has always been like you said, we see the tragedy but he doesn’t think like that himself! No wonder he was smiling like that in the afterlife, he was satisfied
ohh! it’s not crazy at all i’m v flattered you thought about a lil thread of mine <3 but yeah my stance hasn’t changed and i think it was only cemented by the last convo gojo had with yuuji, i’m so sad about gojo dying and about a lot of aspects of his life but i’m happy he remained true to himself and was able to smile and pass on with satisfaction, rip my king
if gojo comes back would you like geto to come back too?
Do you think ending jjk now was for the best? I feel like having at least another arc (maybe 15 to 30 chapters long) would have been better to wrap up the whole story (and would have made nobara cb a bit better too). But at least we are somewhat lucky it went on till this September given Gege’s og plan was to end it last year haha
sorry for the late reply </3 i agree that having a couple more chapters would have been better and this v last part of the manga still feels rushed in a way so far. personally, i think akutami’s pacing is something i have had to make a bigger effort to understand/like in more than one occasion. i will sit back and observe at this point lmao but yeah we are lucky we got more jjk than what we initially intended
i thought you didn’t like dad gojo content?
what do you think of dadjo?
i think it’s a v cute headcanon! i enjoy the fics and the art quite a lot :3 i also love when it’s given a more nuanced / complicated focus within fics and when authors add the canonical emotional shortcomings of both megumi and gojo into the mix hehe but i also enjoy the fluff:) i like dad gojo content in general
so if gojo comes back and yuuji lives what
I’ve never really been the one for nobara comeback but ngl was lowkey super hoping it so then it could become the students survival ending :’)
And now that there’s a chance for a Gojo comeback too… idk… ngl I don’t want it to happen :’) cuz then yuji’s DEFINITELY the one who’s going to die. And after all this time, after he FINALLY let go of the cog mentality and shows will to live.. for him to STILL die in the end… idk :’)
P.s. JUST WANT TO MAKE TO CLEAR IN CASE, THIS IS NOT GOJO HATE OR ANYTHING
oh my dear anon friend i get you and i’m currently in the same dilemma :( for the longest time i thought megumi was going to be the sole survivor but now that we might get the other ending i’m clutching my head. if by some miracle gege decides to let the four live then i’m more than alright with gojo coming back but if yuuji’s the price to pay let him stay dead </3 i think that thematically the students surviving make the most sense since gojo trusted the new gen and its their turn to build a new system, i think (and hope) it’s all about breaking cycles or reforming the society (or what’s left of it)
you only want gojo to stay dead because of satosugu lmao
??? gojo coming back won’t erase what gojo and geto mean for each other or the canon and fanon content we have so it doesn’t matter, i will be fine. i’m not even thinking about satosugu and more than wanting gojo to “stay dead” i want yuuji to survive. the way i see it, if akutami’s sticking to a 3/4 ending and gojo comes back that means yuuji will die and i’m not fond of that scenario no matter how much i thought i was prepared for it. maybe i’m taking gege’s words very seriously regarding the 1/4 or 3/4 endings (bc what if he changed his mind? lmao) but i always thought megumi was going to be the sole survivor but now that nobara is back and the main trio is alive i’m hoping for it to stay as it is. i feel the new gen deserves the chance to live and try their hand at a new world / system and i feel akutami is going towards the “breaking the cycle” thing so it would be fitting for them to survive. that’s the main thing. i have always said i would kill both gojo and geto (my favs) ten times over if it meant all the kids survive and i’m sticking to it.
thanks to your tweets i’m starting to think gojo won’t come back thank you
At first I thought Gege was trying to tell us a story about cycles repeating but now that we had this Yuuji and Megumi moment I think it might be about breaking cycles
i thought the same at first, as gloomy as it sounds! but as the story progressed i started changing my mind a bit. now i think it’s about breaking the current cycle and creating a new one/ones. in other words, it wouldn’t be about not making mistakes at all but about making new mistakes adapted to the society that will take its place. if the merger is activated i think it could play a role in this.
why do you like reader fics? i have tried reading but some of them are so cringey and i can’t handle them 😵💫
i think it all comes down to personal preferences and what’s cringy and what’s not is subjective as well. just as any other type of fics, there’s different tropes or writing styles that might adjust to what you want or like to see. i have my own set of rules or preferences when it comes to what reader / OC fics i read and i have enjoyed them a lot, personally. as to why i read them, i have been in fandoms for a long time and, as a writer myself, i have always enjoyed people writing about their OCs, self inserts and whatnot. i just love to see people’s creativity when it comes to inserting new elements or characters in a established universe and i always try to explore that side of the fandoms i’m more invested in… not going to lie, tho, sometimes i just want to read something really self-indulgent and have my OC fuck my favorite character yk i will always support some harmless self-indulgence! you don’t have to like these fics or force yourself to read them, as long as you are not disrespecting or mocking authors or works publicly that’s perfectly fine.
i feel like geto would be a really good teacher but he’d get too involved and ending up having a break down or smth
yes!! his fallout with the jujutsu system feels inevitable i think that every time one of his student dies or gets heavily injured he is closer to lose it because being a teacher would mean playing an active part on sending kids to the jujutsu marathon that has haunted him since forever and he would end up accumulating that guilt until it explodes and he acts out in an extreme way
did u graduate from undergrad or grad?
what's your top 5 jjk characters?
what are the issues you have with the pacing of the manga?
mostly related to post chapter 221 :// in my opinion, it would have added a lot to the story and character arcs to see them all interact during that month. gojo was missing for a long time and there were a bunch of character he didn’t even know at that point or talks he could have had with the students / colleagues in the current climate. I get some important points were plot twists or surprises and that’s fine by me, but I feel that, had this period of time had been more developed, there would be less controversy regarding 236. i dare say gojo’s conclusion would have been perfect for me had i seen more character interactions or had at least a couple more chapters between the 221 and the shinjuku showdown.
