Any tips for someone who is having trouble writing and completing a fic?
Could you share any writing methods that worked for you and helped you complete your stories faster?

OKAY what i do is #1 i read through what i have so far (if i have something) and i try and find what makes it exciting for me and what made me want to write the idea in the first place and trying to Harness that feeling definitely helps me finish works!!! other things that can help are looking for aesthetic/moodboard/pinterest board pics, making a playlist, etc which while technically might be seen as procrastinating can actually help you get back into the story so you can properly complete it.

also if i can talk to someone about them and hear someone else’s excitement then it makes me be like oh shit now i actually need to finish it!

in terms of finishing things faster e.g. for a fest deadline what i do is i just… muscle through and write something, anything, down. even if it’s terrible. even if it’s the worst writing i’ve ever done. i get SOMETHING down on the page and then i can fix it once i know what i’m working with. my perfectionist tendencies will often stop me from actually writing because i get caught up in trying to fix everything the first time so in doing this it makes the task seem smaller to me cause. the only way from here is up you know? it can only get better.

that’s what i can think of for now but if you have more qs feel free to send them along!
