Tula/Tollan is a full chapter, starting on p.125! The specifics of The Quetz/Huemac Disaster(tm) are from p.145 on (I might have it bookmarked because Tezca Come On Dude). I also forgot Quetz's own human avatar within fgo is 1cm taller than Tez's crafted body (which is 1cm taller than Daybit?) What's this childish little chain lmao theyre like kids standing on tiptoes to outdo each other like they didnt collab to create the current earth. Petty gods those two. Really do wish we'd gotten Quetz LB7 rather than Kukulcan just for the heightened pantheonic turmoil (also Kuku saying she doesn't know Tez when he also hosts K'awiil from Maya myth is bs cmon Kuku its ya boy)

Saw someone bring up the fall of Tula/Huemac regarding Tez (and his involvement with the princess) and I am here to report I've known that myth with the king being Quetz incarnated themself, and that Whole Ordeal is what led to Quetz fleeing the fifth sun in disgrace after the whole. "Tezcatlipoca fucked my daughter then got me sloppy drunk and shamed me because I got old while they were still young and beautiful and it was A Whole Thing". As they say, the girls are fighting. (Jokes aside, Quetz and Tezca have a messy messy history that is really fun, from holding each other accountable to hitting each other in the head with sticks/kicks in the legend of the suns) -T!Anon

As a further aside on Tezca fgo, I think it quite adorable he is Good Friends with Daybit while making the players (me) toil to death 20k+20k+30k+40k bond points for bond2-5. Lord Titlacahuan I cherish you deeply but that's cold as hell. Jaguar perched in the rafters staring down anyone who isn't Daybit his fun and talented little chef who does cool things with him like driving away from explosions.

It's Tezca anon again! A bit sorry I got you invested in something that is. Complicated At Best within FGO but also quite remorseless about getting more people into this research subject. Lowkey here to frown at a LB7 thing (Nasu not researching fr) : its weird asf Tezca is made to be the blue/red/black Tezcas at once bc 1)Those... are all different gods and smoking mirror is just the black Tezca, and 2)it acknowledges the white Tezca as being separate since its Quetz! Would be funnier if lil king dino was the embodiment of one of his many names/aspects imo. I'm glad the book I told you about is of use also!

Maybe you want to leave this behind and its ok, but as a mexican and that I´ve been studying colorism on media, that anon saying that only indigenous people can have an opinion about FGO is just lost , its not hard to see that FGO and gachas in general have a problem with colorism , that anon gave more the impression that they just dont want their beloved waifus or game to be criticized and want to shut up anyone who calls out the game under a "SJW argument" . Also other mexican friends (also from indigenous origins btw just to please that anon) are not really happy with lb7 desings either so............... Leaving that aside love your art!!!!!!!
funny, i think fgo is one of the gachas i know that actually got some banger character designs that are actually not whitewashed but also has the most questionable whitewashed/disrespectful designs i’ve ever seen. completely extremes of each other lol. anon didn’t give me that impression tbh but i don’t wanna dwell on that any further lmao i just wanna tell the that the designs are just rly…sad.

This is me weighing in on this, so feel free to ignore, but the situation might be more with the fact that there is an unintended implication of people saying what think these characters as these people of these particular groups should look like (ex: darker skin) which is already a stereotype of its own when most people default to dark skin instead of showing varying skintones. Not to say there aren't any issues, because this is clearly a colorism thing. But it's also best not to say much about it from an outsider point of view because of how it has affected people irl. So it's a bit of a sore spot when people not of this specific culture weigh in with their criticisms like this.
a fascinating dilemma, isn’t it? that’s why i refrain from speaking any further bc it’s not my place anyway. but still, the problem still persists and it’s best to leave it to the once who have more weight in the matter. i could criticize it in private but i dare not talk abt this thing unless i’m prompted to.

People have the right to be upset abt it, and trying to silence others when it comes to whitewashing is disgusting, sorry this isn't for you but I got really angry at that anon because it was nice seeing you support the culture while still liking the fgo design
honestly i do not like the fgo design for several reasons. i don't think anon is silencing me abt the whitewashing but just the speaking over part. i appreciate ur concern but i do think i'd rather just respect anon's opinion bc firstly im just an asian who studies/loves history and not an indigenous mexican (unless anon is not one which would be .,uh... complicated). whitewashing is still bad tho

But I fail to see the problem with you pointing out how whitewashing deities from a culture that suffered from colonization, and even tampered Quetzalcoatl's name by saying he was white in order convert them to christianist? A lot of people have been trying to silence those who spoke on that matter, even native descendant, and I find what that anon said quite insulting, you have by no means done anything wrong
it's fine actually. i do know that the whitewashed design of tezca is just,,,weird but i'd rather just respect the opinion of a native and be a bit silent abt it bc i do understand their point of ppl trying to speak over them (i kinda see this stuff happening on twitter). but also i wish anon would also know that im only passingly criticizing the whitewashed design bc as an artist, we have the responsibility to research abt the history/roots if we are going to draw a design that is based on historical ppl/myths lest an artist commits cultural appropriation etc.

ah this is rly cute 💕💕 but my fave foods are mostly consisted of asian/local cuisine so i’ll give this a shot
kirsch, beryl, kadoc and ophe- they’re british/european/idk so i don’t think they could handle too much spices unless they have excellent tastes in food. i think kirsch would love local pastries like otap and kababayan. beryl? maybe he’d like the spicier dishes? idk. ophelia and kadoc might not like some of my faves like bicol express tbh
daybit- he’s american so ig he’d approve of corndogs? i don’t think he’s the type of person that would eat for the sake of taste but only for survival
akuta paisen- we will eat blood together 💓 (betamaxx master race)
pepe- he’s the type of person that lives to experience life so ig i’ll be having a fun time with him while we eat some of my fave local/asian dishes. pretty sure he has the highest spice tolerance so we’re def gonna have a fun time 🫶
