uh retrosping doesn't really work for me right know but im trying again soo agender dazai
1) he's not very bothered by the concept of gender, just never really thinks about it UNTIL chuuya tells him he's trans. then he does some deep and proper research and is kinda grasping the idea but still won't apply it to himself he just wants to support his boyfriend!! chuuya is rarely insecure unless it's about his gender and body and sometimes he gets self-conscious about how masculine clothes look on his body even though they're way comfier and better than feminine ones, so dazai comes up with the idea: chuuya dresses how he wants to and dazai will wear a skirt. or a dress. or something fem. so it's not chuuya alone who ""looks stupid and out of place"" but the thing is they both look amazing actually and dazai obviously plays it up doing a little swirl in that dress to make chuuya laugh but then he's like 😳😳 somehow this feels liberating!! so he tries on some more, more for himself really and it feels right, when he's in the mood. chuuya notices of course and compliments the shit out of him
2) orr frustrated agender dazai because literally NOTHING feels right. not the masculine clothes nor the feminine ones so he just wears bland hoodies and pants that aren't flashy and noticeable but even those feel wrong. it's when chuuya is trying to get him to do skincare and needs to get his hair out of the way that he figures out that hairbands and cute hairclips are perfect for a subtle change and they make him pretty but still not extravagant (i think dazai wouldn't like that)
3) nail polish
4) I believe he would struggle with his identity because it's hard to find others who can fully relate (chuuya can but it's a bit different) plus he would crave acceptance from others (which is strange cause he usually dgaf) without wanting to tell anyone but in canon universe ranpo would just KNOW what's up and maybe he's nonbinary too idk idk that's my headcanon lol and they could bond too also he could come out to the whole agency and it wouldn't change a thing just feel nice
forgot the number ugh 5) agender dazai with clip on cat ears because cats don't have a gender (that's a reach sorry i just want him with fluffy ears also chuuya would laugh at him)

I JUST SAW RHIS AHHHHH I NEED EVERYONE TO READ THIS 😭🖤🖤🖤 agender dazai and clothes (+ general appearance) is so dear to me because he understands on a cognitive level that clothes don’t have gender, that it’s made up by big brands to sell stuff yada yada but on an emotional level it’s hard to separate garment from identity, there’s no ‘agender’ section etc. so trying out things until it clicks it is. and that leaves him so vulnerable too because dazai is choosing his own comfort (adding to his mental health issues) and letting people SEE his genuine struggle isn’t easy. so chuuya keeping him company in all that is just soooooo yummy and good. it’s a bonding exercise AND provides an opportunity to explore each other’s bodies in a non sexual way. just touching tentatively at first, until they become wholly acquainted with each other. i love dazai in skirts so much like, floor length skirts look great on him bc he’s tall and they’re super comfortable. and i like the idea that dazai grows his hair out a bit, enough that those clips look so cute!!! in my head he lets kyoka and naomi style his hair every once in a while, the end result is silly but dazai is simply so happy, because the path to self acceptance is thorny and he got hurt in the process multiple times to get here, being happy with who he is, happy that chuuya shares this part of him. agender dazai!!!!
