omg I’ve recced that 2023 canon compliant yuwin fic to so many people. it’s rare to find that kind of writing in kpop fandom. so realistic even though it’s dramatically unhinged. an all time great to me personally, as a person who loves all consuming love that lowkey dehumanizes the object of affection <3
it’s SO brilliant it truly unhinged me!!!! i agree with you about dehumanizing the object but something that op does so skilfully and beautifully is actually giving sicheng his own agency - and how it SHOCKS yuta to learn that he has his own feelings, his own private thoughts, his own desires - that there’s more to him below the surface even if (or especially if!) yuta doesn’t get to see it! that sicheng has free will beyond yuta desiring him! ugh sooooo so so delicious and so good and so fully canon. u rly have to be such a particular brand of NCT Knower to really Feel it and trust me i felt every single word.

hrmmmmmm see i THOUGHT it was bc i watched the proposal and got so fuming mad about how bad the boss-assistant romance is in it that it inspired me to write my own version, but my fiancée tells me i was already working on b&p by the time we watched it!! so tbh i think it was kind of the oddinary lore…just ruminating on the notion of hyunjin doing chan’s bidding like an errandboy or (he wishes) like a weapon….and i have ALWAYS said hyunjin is like patrick bateman to me!!! so it just felt like a natural conclusion :’) the rest of the worldbuilding took a little work but ultimately it was pretty “obvious” in a way!!! :D
