ok sooo going back to when you said kale was programmed to be like,, mean do they literally not have a choice and have to act the way they are? Or do they have a choice and that's just their personality?
its a bit of both
a choice was made before/while they were created for them to be "mean" for a specific reason, they had no say in it and have no clue that ever happened. if they did i dont think they would actively try and do anything about it tho and honestly would deny it or embrace it
think of it exactly how i put it a while back. Programmed. Something created them to act that way for a reason
so no matter what they do they are "Meant" to act that way . by fate i guess. similar thing happened with Sunny, but polar opposite, meant to be Friendly and approachable
this actually happens with Alot of the EUE characters in varying ways and some of them are aware of it. .. kind of Torturous n terrible 4 them 👎oooopsie
