riktael To Me is about the slowburn that is so slow you don't realize it is burning. like. affection that builds so innocuously that they don't recognize romance is the form it's taken until it's reached its peak. a bowl sitting under a leak gathering rain water that begins to overflow, reminding you that there was a leak in the ceiling at all. very human and not at all cosmic but all the more beautiful for it
i think it all boils down to like. ricky and taerae falling in love is the sort of thing that they don't realize is happening until it's happened and one day they're picking through ricky's closet trying to find a shirt he swears he owns and taerae is laying back on his elbows on the bed watching him and he cracks some joke about ricky being a hoarder and ricky turns to shoot taerae this unimpressed glare except he's smiling so it doesn't land and taerae is reminded of how achingly sincere ricky is with him, always is, and how easy it is to be in return and he's like. oh, wait. i love him. and it doesn't change anything really because ricky has always been so beautiful and sweet and willing to care for taerae in a way he'd never thought to ask for especially not from someone younger. but also he just kind of realizes that it's not that he can't live without ricky anymore, he just doesn't Want to. and he kind of wants to kiss him stupid.

we've never even talked u just seem like a rly cool person and my friends like you and im tired of ppl being bitter and miserable over rpf in your house. anyway 권태기 is literally such a specific term almost always used to describe a couple who've come to a state of ennui. the way one says a couple has come out of their "honeymoon phase" in english. i don't even evnne much so to an outsider like me im just 👀 at the fact he used that word out of all the ones that are available.
anyway i hope u keep having fun in your pond and i hope the ones trying to stink things up and ruin the fun take a bath soon<3

i wasn't going to answer this but i'm also a really emotional loser and this made me upset because it's like
this is a really negative and bad faith interpretation of what he said

about the skinship rs, i feel like leejeong has grown to be more comfortable w skinship as you said, but it hasn’t trascended much to people pre-evnne. his dynamic with hanbin hasn’t changed much, but he’s shown to enjoy skinship with hayangz, probably because they’ve known each other for less time and it’s just the turn their relationaships have taken.
you won’t see him be extremely touchy with munjung or jihoo either but no one would ever deny he doesn’t adore them unconditionally. on the same line, we haven’t had much from jeongrae but they’ve never shown to be clingy like that, as far as we know. yet in their groups with new people they can be.
