Hey it's that Chaeya appeal anon! I just need to share a random thought rn

Chaeya in that one Aristocats scene

I'm thinking of a lovestruck Ajax who's so genuine about the complimenting Kaeya's star shaped blue eyes. And Kaeya, who reads Ajax's character while he says it and (while used to compliments) finds the genuine part endearing. Though I'd like to hear your take on it as well if you have other ideas!

PLS THAT'S SO CUTE IM ON THE FLOOR!! i'm so obsessed with childe being completely lovestruck head over heels with kaeya and i think he's pretty good at reading people too so he can tell that kaeya isn't really available for anything more but he'd be fine being devoted to him anyway.... head in hands.

i agree kaeya would find his sincerity endearing, i've always considered childe a bit of a literal person and i think he's very genuine in how he presents himself (whether he's showing all of himself or not is a different question). i don't think he's naturally or actively flirtatious but i think this earnestness in what he does and he says whether it's a compliment or something else is what can make him so captivating to others.

but on the other hand, i feel like childe isn't a very "likeable" person at first, for example, compared to kaeya who naturally draws people in and people want to get to know, i think childe is instead a little too... rough around the edges. i don't think he's mean or actively drives people away, in fact, i think it might be the opposite. he's a bit too much to take in at one go which is why no one really sees him beyond his surface level exterior (not saying he isn't genuine but just that there's a lot more beyond that sincerity that he doesn't easily expose). whether kaeya can see and read all this at first or not is interesting to think about... i'd like to imagine that even kaeya slightly underestimates childe at first hehe

thank you for sharing your chaeya thoughts anon i love reading them and i giggle and kick my feet every time someone talks to me about them haha
