idrk where to start so im just gonna point out things that drew me into them!! first was how they spoke of e/o, its laced with so much care and mutual respect and admiration for one another, zl making medicine for him and always seeking him out, he cares for him a lot bc hes the one who knows most what xiao has went through, what THEY went through tgt
hi anon!! ugh sorry about the word count but thank you for taking the time to share why you like them <3 i really like what you mention about devotion and faith and religious guilt, i'm such a sucker for any kind or religious symbolism like that in characters and ships. i think they do make a lot of sense together, and you're right their (several hundred) years of pining makes the angst of it all the better hehe. it seems like they're a dynamic that's not something fast and leaves you in the wreckage, like a car crash or a match burning a flame, but something that's calmer and enduring - which is very fitting for them, along with the meaning of their first meeting place, that's a really cool fact!
