How important is canon for you and the ships you like? Do they have to be rooted in canon or can they not?

Hi anon! I love shipping two people who are supported by canon interactions and dynamics. It gives me sources to connect them better. But I also very well can like ships that have NO canon interactions at all or are impossible to happen in canon (e.g. Tojikuna) What about you? :)
