As I am on my way back from France and lack my guide and translator I stand in awe listening to the flight attendant who repeats fluent in five languages the simple instructions to a crowd of mindless sheep.
I wonder how many of the flight attendants know all the languages or just have the phrases memorized.

Usually they have to know the basics of three languages and have a very basic understanding of two others. Nothing too complicated, but it takes effort nonetheless.

That compared to the incomprehensible sounds of some rural people who babble like loud pigs is quite the contrast! Haha!
They have to learn some basics of the foreign languages at least in order to understand the wishes of the passengers. My good friend Mrs. Fox who is French and a pilot told me all the details about flight staff training.
