Oh, I love answering these types of questions — I apologize in advance, I am very passionate about Ruan Mei, so this will be a long response!
To be honest, I originally had planned on skipping Ruan Mei for the Kafka re-run, however.. upon playing through her story quest, and actually meeting her, I quickly became smitten with her. As somebody who struggles with mental health, her issues were very real for me, and I felt as if she understood me.
Over the course of my love, I began as a casual Ruan Mei enjoyer, to.. well, now! I don't really have a specific date, however I consider the day I became a Ruan Mei yume to be the same day I got her – which would be 12/27. As of today – I have her at E0S1, fully built, and with her traces all maxed out. I use her on every team I have, and I've bought her icon from the version 1.6 battle pass!
I consider our ship name currently to be EnaMei, however I am thinking of something more.. meaningful, like the other yumeshippers I've seen.. Our emojis are 🧬🎨 or 🧬🧩, representing Ruan Mei and I respectively! I hope you will look forward to more developments, soon!

How did you start liking Kanaena?
mostly due to insatiable pale color! in the scene where kanade says "if you need to be recognized, i will be the one to recognize you" or something along those lines.
after that, all the cute moments just started filling up.. they're adorable, and they drive me insane.. shout out to kanaena for ruining my life since 2021
