AW no i love jayhoon i swear!!! i just have made it my mission to write like every single pairing i like at least once and i'm addicted to writing heejake AND there are so many amazing jayhoon writers out there i really feel like i have nothing to contribute and i generally prefer to just consume jayhoon media rather than write them myself (at least for right now) BUT. i do love them so much!!!!!

and i do have many thoughts about them!!!!!! and as someone who has watched iland all the way through like. four times over the last four years (sorry i'm literally insane and sick) i always always watch it with my jayhoon goggles on because like. THEY ARE JUST SO SWEET. i think that iland was such a vile environment that really brought out the worst sides of everyone (and reasonably so like i would literally become a m*rderer if i was in that situation like i'd be on some lord of the flies shit) but when it comes to jay and sunghoon especially in relation to each other they just stayed so gentle and so kind and so forgiving (as did the rest of the members and honestly most of the contestants in general like everyone handled things with such grace compared to how bad things Could have been. again. lord of the flies) and so SUPPORTIVE of each other. like just the other day i had a full fledged breakdown again over the clip of jay carrying sunghoon around after the dance unit battle thingy whatever u wanna call it where sunghoon took his place like. JAY. PARK JONGSEONG. U KIND SWEET SOUL WHAT THE FUCKKK like not only is he so happy for sunghoon in the first place and so okay with him taking his place even though he IS hurt by it but then to celebrate his success like that is just. oh GOD such a beautiful display of their bond and their hearts and everything that makes them them. like i said they so easily could have become rivals in that show (being in the same unit from the beginning would make it so easy to compare them and pit them against each other etc) but the love is just so palpable between them it’s like. any rivalry that could have been there just hits The Great Wall Of Jayhoon Bond. there’s no jealousy there and if there is it's so fleeting because of their mutual respect that i Just Know had to be built up and worked for because they’re VERY different people fundamentally but like. they did it. they figured out how to see and understand each other before iland even began and then we were lucky enough to see that understanding flourish and reinforce and make them work so well together and we have been so lucky to continue seeing that bond grow to this day like they’re just. truly so fascinating to me. i think i can’t write them because every time i try to i turn into like a mad scientist trying to lock them into a cage together and poke at them and see how they react because no matter how they react it will always be tinged with that feeling of like. i know this person’s boundaries and lines to not cross so implicitly well that i’m at my most comfortable and my most Me when i’m with them because i don’t have to worry about what i can or cannot say. if that makes any sense at all. either way it’s beautiful. and i think that’s true for all of enhypen i won’t even get into it but i think it’s best displayed with jayhoon and especially with iland jayhoon (me trying to pretend i didn’t get off topic). what else do i have to say hmmm. um. sagittarius/taurus friendships seriously need to be studied in a lab. it’s like a social experiment. yeah that’s my conclusion iland jayhoon were a social experiment put on to show how patient two people can be in the name of loving each other so much that they have no choice but to form the shapes of their personalities to fit seamlessly forever and ever
