/ / / / this is so long im so sorry
i adore all your works so much ππ i especially adore your dottolei works bc of how you detail all their emotions.
rare, warm tenderness from dottore and collei's own terror slowly dissipates into an odd sort of bliss. And then there's the worst memories & moments of collei's entire life which results in dottore's most exquisite, exhilarating hell-colored paradise.
i like to think that collei doesn't remember her parents at all, to the point that she can't even recall their faces, even when she dreams of them in a sullen, sweet manner. were they proud of her? she can't be certain, but she is sure that this voice, the voice of that calm, scary man, who beckons and calls her by name is. . .
YESS!! THIS EXACTLY. I love the gross sour sweet feeling of having no real good memories to draw on, but being biologically wired to require that love and affection so much, that one must twist whatever memories or moments of peace they do have into cherished ones. That's the dottolei dynamic at its core for me π She'll do anything to hear him coo and praise her, because its the closest thing to the little shreds of love she has left of what her parents gave her πππΌ then dottore splitting the warmth with a whip of a cold stare or too-tight of a grip... You get me you get me... pikanod.gif
