i've been asked this question before and never had an answer so i'm just gonna throw somebody out: maybe it would be Laura from the Carmilla story - not the vampire herself but the vampire's target who's capable of forming an intimate emotional connection and using that as an outlet for her frustration with her place in society and, even if she doesn't realize it immediately, is irrevocably changed by the experience. there's probably something there
