i do! i try to match the vibe of what i'm writing about. when i do my persona nanako fic i have a playlist of acoustic sad girl music by female japanese artists that i throw on but i'll switch it up if a chapter calls for something jazzy or poppy (phantom thieves come up, they go to karaoke, rise's music is prominent, etc). right now i'm writing a horror themed fe3h thing and because that game has such a scattered historical influence i've been switching between old bad vibes like 11-13th century christian chanting type stuff and bummer flavored 18th century classical shit. whatever hits the flavor i need in the moment.
