(You don't need to answer this)--different anon, "peanut gallery" originally meant "cheapest seats" in live theater, now it just sort of means audience (goofy connotation). It's old enough that the American South probably connected it to racist things (in a poor = Black way), but the rest of the country didn't, and it's currently considered an A-okay, not racist thing to say. (I'm not trying to argue or anything--just wanted to make sure you didn't think someone was being subtly racist in your inbox! :) )
ok haha good to know, i went on wikipedia and it mentioned stuff during segregation times etc. obviously i dont know american history and language and the likes well enough so i'm just going off of what sites like wikipedia tell me. you're always free to correct me on stuff, i just dont wanna accidentally use or platform terms that might be hurtful and it's a case of better safe than sorry for me haha.
