I've never seen anyone mention himegoto, that shit was crazy 😭 as much as I never ended up finishing the story, I always thought the covers with the piles of uniforms were gaaaas, I love how it represents the themes of the story. do you have any recs for cool manga that delve into themes of identity :)
I really like that story, despite having countless issues with it, especially its transphobia and misogyny, but I can’t ever let it go, it still touched my heart. I would say Inside Mari is the best at this. It’s just as messy as Himegoto. But it’s very in depth on identity.

what are your thoughts on jing yuan and yanqing's relationship?
I like father and son relationships. I think the high energy who wants to prove himself and sleepy master is a good dynamic. I especially think it’s interesting since Yanqing (HI3) was allowed to run free and rampant— turning him into a adrenaline junkie adult. It makes me glad he has someone to teach him healthily now. I’ve seen HSR fans say Fu Hua was a mother to him, but that’s not true. He didn’t have any true parental figures and the closest he got was later his lover, which is really disgusting and obviously unhealthy. So I’m happy Jing Yuan can be a proper father.

Probably that she is the mistress of Shuro who is basically a slave owner (Izutsumi) but I don’t think she should be blamed for someone else’s actions
