1. There are a few tumblr blogs i use for irl fashion inspo: @tokyo-fashion and @fashion-runways are good ones. I recommend making a blog or word doc or something so you can save your inspirations in one place. (I don't do this anymore but I should)

I also take a lot of inspiration from video games, anime/manga etc. Obviously the best way to appeal to your tastes is to take inspo from the media you like.
For example, pokemon is a fantastic franchise when it comes to character design and it's especially great inspiration for gijinkas.
