They’re going to recount, but they’re literally not even done counting as of right now. A recount will not change that trump hit 270, so why insist for it?

On that, this (a petition) is essentially just a small popular vote is it not? And we know who won that already. The only difference would be that you can see names on petitions, which is a HUGE issue and driving factor regarding the actual voting system. So even hypothetically if Kamala were to win a petition-popular vote, being able to see who voted would basically void like everything wouldn’t it?
