UWOUGHGHH that's interesting 🤔 i've definitely had passing thoughts of kdj being in a relationship with different yjh's, but 999 is such a specific flavor...

i think kdj would honestly be REALLY embarrassed about trying to be in a relationship with 999, especially since he feels like he took 999's whole schtick and made that his core principle. i honestly think kdj would have the healthiest relationship with 999, though 999 needs like. A LOT of quiet time, healing time. just...rest, in general.

i don't know that either of them, canonically, are the type to have sex much — 999 discarded most of his libido in between his nearly 1,000 turns and kdj is canonically very ace/demi to me. i feel like they respect each other right off the bat, too. so the cuddles for warmth and hands held and everything. they're like foils of each other, complements of each other in the way that all kdjs and yjhs feel to me, but 999 is an extremely unique experience.

999 is fragile, yet stronger than a great number of his peers. he considers himself far from an ideal, but kdj loves him anyways, of course, and he takes the time to trace every perfect scar because 999 is here, in his arms, quietly content and letting the horrors wash away with every quiet puff of breath in his ear as kdj sleeps next to him.

he never does things by halves. he wants to protect the idealistic man next to him, because he always protects his companions, and kdj wormed his way into his heart immediately.

anyways idk!! kdj/999 give me the most old married couple vibes. whereas kdj/3 (1864) give me "just wanted to say, me and my bf saw you from across the room and we hate your vibes" energy. 😂 thanks for asking!
