(novel spoilers obvs ⚠️) so, i think that canonically, if you really think about it, all of orv is basically just OD vs KDJ “i want this guy obliterated”

like all the hardships put in kdj’s way, especially when he’s fragmented, clinging to his stories—OD is denying his role in the story. and KDJ in turn denies OD’s existence and right to live (smth smth self-loathing, like repels like, etc.)

i think they would hate each other way too much to consider any sort of halfway enjoyable sex…they need like. a referee LOL so that it doesn’t just become KDJ with his sarcasm and wit and bitchy attitude cutting OD down to size

and OD is so miserable he’d shut down at the first sign of conflict (outwardly shut down, fwiw. POWERS wise he will make KDJ’s life hell)

all of that pretense aside, what’s not to love about time/age shenanigans yk. OD being accepted at long last, probably crying more than they ever actually get to touch or hold hands or kiss. i think just KDJ being like “it will get better” would be enough to have OD falling to pieces

and don’t even get me started on the post-epilogue era KDJ allowing himself to deage and take OD’s place and the loop there and all the complicated feelings RAHHHHHHHH
