okay well. obviously i’m gonna work off of my own headcanons here. in terms of “stinky” meaning “wow, this guy sucks and should probably be neutered for the sake of society,” from least stinky to most stinky:

—actor AU (he is a sweet puppyboy to me who drools a lot and his only crime is fucking hard and biting a lot. 2/10)

—general hs / childhood friends AU (teenagers are just a funky bunch. he has not yet grown into his full weirdness. 3/10)

—coffee shop / general “adults with mundane jobs” AU (weird but in a socially acceptable way. would probably huff undies in the break room. 4/10)

—general age difference vibes / modern setting (ivan is going to chase his man idc. and be an awful lil weirdo about it 💘 4.5/10)

—canon (here we start creeping into the “what if ivan had some weird powers / upbringing that made him cracked as hell so he gets away with egregious crimes” territory. 5/10)

—general fantasy settings (all of the above + funky powers for added stinky. 6/10)

—vampire / monsters (ivan is weird. but like. as to expected obviously in this segment lol. 7/10)

—band / celebrity AU (TO ME. you have to be a very specific kind of crazy to enter these fields. and i have a tendency to write band AU ivan like. at the HIGH CUSP of “barely fitting into society” kind of weird. so, 8/10)

—omegaverse (here. is where. because of how i see the mess that is omegaverse society. shit starts getting SUPER FOUL. alpha ivan is sooooo diseased. woof. 9/10)

—basically any “ivan letting his demons win AU” (which, for me, often winds up being a blend of various universes above) but the endgame is that his obsession takes a literal turn for the extremely illegal, unhealthy, and codependent. (stalking till, kidnapping till, etc. 10/10)
