• vaguely historical setting
• till is the (biological) son of a blacksmith. they’ve never had anyone present as an alpha in their bloodline before. it’s a mega honor, and entitles till to running in races (which are usually exclusive to the upper echelon)
• till isn’t particularly interested in participating (he comes of age + presentation earlier than ivan, sua, and mizi) until he hears that the three of them are going for age 18
• (at the start) alpha mizi, beta sua, alpha ivan, alpha till
• ivan participated the year prior for family reasons but didn’t take any “prizes”
• they have a rancid wrestling match with lots of fighting; ruts typically last three days, so in that three days, ivan is determined to win
• could be fun if it somehow ended in a stalemate and till is shaking like. what the fuck was that. of ALL the people for ivan to hone in on (till thought ivan would focus on some competing noble)
• for some reason (idk waves my hand), mizisua are mated. mizi was sua’s handmaid before this, but the bond and her achievements in the race elevate her status
