MMMM... 🤔 this is a hard question to answer lol. i don't necessarily think this is ivan's endgoal or anything that he would attempt...but it's hard to say, since the only person till likes canonically is mizi + mizi is taken + ivan and mizi get along just fine haha.

i personally think that, outside of till, ivan is not the type to chase, romantically speaking. if people came to him, he's like "alright" (thumbs up emoji) but he certainly isn't going to do the chasing? and also ivan doesn't really want to do anything to hurt till's feelings?

...although i do firmly believe that ivan would do everything in his power to sabotage till's dates (without till finding out) on the sidelines. he just wouldn't do anything as overt as stealing them for himself. (most of the people till likes aren't his type, anyways. obviously. since his type is just till lmao)

i see it playing out like—

till: (dreamy sigh)
ivan: (poking him) tilllll till tillllll tell me what's got you so distracted tillllll
till: 💢 no. it's none of your business
ivan: fine, then i'll find out myself
till: NO!!! okay fine, fine...so there's this girl... (he spends most of the time mumbling and blushing and ivan is like 🙄 it's always some girl)

ivan, of course, does his own follow-up research on "the girl." till is too fucking embarrassing to be seen with a girl without putting his foot in his mouth so he caves and asks ivan to come EVEN THOUGH this has a 9/10 chance of making whatever girl he's into fall in love with ivan('s face). that's not ivan's fault though, till doesn't blame him for that.

ivan smooths things over and leaves partway through so they can have their alone time and waits until someone wants to hook up so he can burn off his annoyed energy. (thinking of till the whole time.) sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn't. but in the end, till winds up single again (eventually) and till comes crawling and crying back to him and then ivan turns into a rancid bitch vs. till's exes.

mostly, i think the issue is that. at least from what we've seen of alnst so far. is that till has this very idolized view of the people he crushes on. i don't even know if it's necessarily that he can't see the bad things about them (especially because, yk, mizi is fucking rad, lol) but he has this tendency to put them up on a pedestal and daydream about "what-could-be's" moreso than taking concrete action and seeing them truly for what they are, good AND bad...at least that's my read. (shrug)

this is so much more information than you asked for, but i honestly think even if ivan never snaps and pounces on till, as is his wont, he would be miserably content with knowing he has outlasted every person till ever had a crush on like. HA BITCHES. I'M STILL HERE AND HE STILL SNOTS ON ME WHEN HE CRIES POST BREAKUP. so that's that on that. 😂
