maybe you need a break down of my last message. i said the way you’re approaching this is racist in itself and it’s better for people like you to shut up. they didn’t change the stamp because someone on twitter told them to kill themselves, they did it because people submitted complaint. you’re doing nothing but call the set any name you can find for “gross” instead of doing things that can actually change something (contacting support, boosting swana voices), and then thinking that “you’re angry on their behalf” and you’re doing something of value. the set is an awful representation of any kind of swana culture, im algerian myself and i hate it. seeing non-swana people like you call it gross and awful just to hear yourselves talk is simply degrading without making any progress towards something better. so it’s better for people like you to shut up.
i hope you can actually process the criticism im giving you instead of deflecting it this time.
I don’t understand what exactly I’ve done is racist, but I see the other point you’ve made about me not doing anything besides complaining on the internet. However, I gotta say, that I’ve tweeted out a lot of those things in the heat of the moment, within the same hour of the announcements dropping. There is, to my knowledge, no thread explaining why it’s bad. I’d love to boost SWANA fans’ voices and information, but I have yet to see tweets outside of complaints. Though if you have, please link it to me. My TL does not and can’t show me everything.
To address the other point of contacting staff: I don’t understand JP. At all. I use a translator and even then those are not reliable. Anything I write could and will be twisted by the translator, for better or worse. And to be completely honest, I genuinely don’t know how effective a message in ENG will work out for a primarily JP company that hasn’t shown any acknowledgement to a global fanbase.
I’m sorry if these all just sound like excuses to you, but to me, they are things either out of my control or something I simply worry about.
I also don’t see how calling something racist “gross and awful” is… also racist. Perhaps I’m not seeing the bigger picture here, so if I’m not, I’m sorry.
