OH my god. Oh my god what do I even say. I'll begin this by my first encounter with both characters in the Regretevator game.
I met Speeding Wall first in Elevator x5 and I thought that having a speeding wall character with the Roblox man face was so awesome and silly. I felt even more so after meeting them in the Area 51 floor, which was my favorite floor because I remember playing in old Area 51 games with my friends. Also, although I am not too keen on personification, I have to admit Speeding Wall gives a lot of stuff to work with.
My love for TARMITE has a lot to do with the floor they are on. The Suspiciously Long Room is one of the most interestingly designed floors in the game to me because of its atmosphere, room decorations and the use of ayagtwtdigbt(worst acronym ever!) by the caretaker a.k.a. james leyland kirby who I had a hyperfix on when I was 13. The idea of him being a calm old man who is also an uncanny weirdo delights me very much, too.
Even though I first began shipping Speedmite due to yeucc's one ask post which I think he debunked, I daydreamed myself most of the current reasons. The two walls are similar in the way that they are both walls but it feels like their personalities are way different. S.W. (Speeding Wall) seems much more serious and stern just from their angry face and music to TARMITE's laid-back but still rough silliness. S.W. travels from place to place (they appear in 2 rooms) and makes an angry face when they rush towards players while TARMITE stays in their weird room doing weird pushups that just so happened to kill people, listening to weird music. I think they are insufferable people that make each other just slightly better by balancing each other's qualities.
S.W. is the scary uncle with a cold expression on their face who is actually pretty friendly if you get to see beyond their front.
TAR's the fun but reserved uncle that teaches you about decomposition.
But again that's literally all from daydreams and probably not true to canon at all. But. I can imagine anything.
Also I'm very sleepy typing this so I might regret yapping all that hours later. But. What is life without Regret (evator)?
