honestly the issue with the author in question was very convoluted & involved several people to varying extents. the accounts have also been deactivated, or maybe just blocked idk. the core of the issue is that she paid several artists (including jello, as far as i know) to whitewash minho for her book & tried to excuse this by tokenizing the rest of sk5 for ~diversity and ~copyright issues (she had a bad understanding of them). & while rightfully i think the brunt of the criticism of that incident should fall on the author for her own actions, jello did have to go along with this for some extent to create art for the piece that would have aligned with her version of white minho. we were shown how uncomfortably blatant her dms with one artist were. my tweet was calling out the fact that jello was asked to address the nature of their involvement publicly when it happened & to my knowledge never did. when it would have actually mattered to get their perspective, nuance, clarification, anything on something racist they'd participated in, to my knowledge it went ignored. and again, if someone has seen a public statement about it, i will gladly amend that point. but priv tweets & chats with friends don't count
