If you are given the ability to master one foreign language you never understand before, what language will you choose and why?

It’s hard for me to choose between Dutch and French but I’ll go with French, I suppose? The reason is because I studied cuisine back on my uni days and lots of incredible cuisine are from French and that makes me want to learn French to understand the method properly
