im slowly getting through lonetrail but i've heard mixed opinions about it as an event. if you care about any of the rhine labs ops, maybe it's worth it; the event picks up from where dorothy's vision left off (the rhine manga fills in some of the gaps? but its not necessary to have read it i guess), seems to focus on saria, silence, ifrit, rosmontis(?), kal'tsit is there??, and kirsten. muelsyse and ho'olheyak get more screentime too, as well as some new NPCs. if you care about any of those characters or seeing what kirsten's obsession with the sky is, then i'd get back on it, unless you'd like to read it on ak story reader instead.

i've heard muelsyse and ho'ohlheyak get a little fanservice-y and the criticisms ive seen have been dissatisfaction with allocation of screentime. it definitely could have used a second grammar-mistakes pass and kirsten's name is rewritten as Kristen the entire event. im takin it super slow this time around but i mean if sci-fi and rhine labs is up your alley, you could try it. i think it's currently global's lengthiest piece (writers get paid per word), so if you're not feeling up to reading or don't have like... at least an hour to kill, don't rush yourself.
