did you know that you can graft most nightshade plants onto a relative? You can grow a potato plant, cut the top off, graft a TOMATO onto it, and grow both at the same time in one plant. Absolutely crazy
i actually did know this!! i was a massive botany nerd in hs did you know there's an artistic gardening practice called espalier that's designed to grow certain plants to a frame or surface to conduct heat better in the winter? you can grow figs well into winter with an efficiently designed espalier
