second hand news is so sad to me bc tetsu has all these personal issues and now he’s watching two men he loves being together while he’s still alone 💔 but at the same time i love the yearning and the bittersweet moments so i can’t stop reading it :P
i also want to compliment your writing in general bc you write the best smut yes, but you also create amazing character arcs and i think a running theme in your fics is self-worth (that’s my interpretation anyway) and i’m always left thinking about my own self-worth issues and what i can learn from the characters and the way they challenge themselves so i want to thank you for writing so many amazing stories 💖🩷💗 i hope you’re having a good week
it’s sad in a bittersweet way. Tetsu is really taking a look at his life and trying to see where he can make meaningful changes and it’s not a coincidence that this is also when he acknowledges that he actually does have feelings for Eijirou and Katsuki. i think the old him, the version of him that was content to coast along and not think about the future — that version of Tetsu would look at those feelings and go “love is the solution.” and that would’ve led to a turbulent, codependent dynamic because nothing would’ve really changed. but the version of him now that we’re about to see, this version might understand a little bit better that love is simply a mundane but worthwhile endeavour. it’s just another choice you get to make every day. it’s not something “to have.” so yeah, it’s sad in the sense that this is really just the beginning of a better relationship with himself, so he might not even see a relationship as a priority. but i think that’s hopeful in a way as well.
