Theyre doing ldr, and when they miss each other. Theyll go get the other fav snack or meal and then send a pic of it. Mq gets one of them hot dogs and FX, chocolate fudge cake. Mq hates the 2 in 1 men shampoo that FX frequently uses but if he didnt go to the convenient store late at night and buy the mini size just to put it in his bathroom. Fx will go to the equivalent of a LUSH store ☠️ and gets a bottle of the body spray that MQ loves. (HEADCANON THAT MU QING LIKES USING THE “LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL” BUT ONLY IN THE COMFORT OF HIS HOME AND LOVED ONES. ITS SO BUTTERY CARAMEL POPCORN. Hes privately a gourmand person but floral and clean scent when in public). So FX can spritz it all over his other pillow. When he hugs it, he pretends its Mq sleeping soundly against his chest

Oooo so continue with emperor XL and concubine mq, let’s not forget our fx. See, bodyguard fx doesn’t care about any of them but something about that particular concubine just pisses him off differently KSKSKSKS so now he has to keep an eye on him just in case he suspects of mq slipping in poison into XL cup. Totally not because mq looks sort of (really) pretty with that thick long eyelashes and that belt wrapping his tiny waist and his arrogant smirk. Totally not that at all!!

Yaz do you think of mu qing not believing feng xin falling in love with him but he knows fx’s an honest man but but he’s impossible to love! And those awful past memories of them, he can’t forget them! It still hurts to think about. And do you think he will try to sabotage it in the beginning 😫 idk why I have this headcanon where he would do it so many times until feng xin has had enough (only cause fx thinks mq doesn’t want him period) AND THATS the only time when mq went NO COME BACK. Sorry…. Was thinking of them listening to afterglow 😔
i absolutely agree with all of this!!! i think mq would sabotage their relationship over and over and over again and fx would just be like "yk what? i thought i could make you the happiest man alive but if i'm really so shit at it then i'll just remove myself from your life and let you find happiness somewhere else" and THAT would make mq come to his senses once and for all, but honestly i wouldn't blame mq for being so guarded with how fx has treated him for centuries

YAZ pls tell me how do you get your readings done 😭😭 i wanna blame my job but people still can manage to do but ugh every time i open my physical book i just feel daunted and then I procrastinate.
bestie i think you cursed me with this ask bc in the past few months i read a total of maybeee two books. like. HOW. i used to read sm and now...look at me...but hey at least i had two weeks off from work so i could finallyyy pick up mdzs and TA again!!!
alright that was partially my fault let's be real i had a lot of things to do buttt i usually have a reading goal. for example rn i'm reading thousand autumns (book 3) and it's roughly 400 pages so on the first night i read 50 pages, yesterday i read 100, today i read 150, and tomorrow i'm gonna read the remaining 100. with a goal set in mind i find that i can read a lot faster, and if i don't have a goal then i just give myself an hour or two to read as much as i can
another important thing is that i try to keep my phone at a healthy distance so that i can't just grab it and start scrolling, because as soon as you start scrolling the reading time is ruined, and i try to be as comfortable as possible so the atmosphere is nice and cozy and i don't have to get up unless i absolutely have to
so just make yourself comfortable, keep your phone away, grab a snack and force yourself to read at least a few pages. sometimes i'm not even in the mood to read and i have to force myself to and before i know it i'm balls deep in the damn book LMAO
i'm gonna buy a kindle to see if i can read faster that way bc i've heard great things so maybe that's also a good idea!!!

YAZ have you ever thought of FX and the way he loves and hates. When he loves you, he would do anything for you and when he hates, he will curse you back and forth and makes sure you remember that! FX is really endearing the way he treats XL and JL. So imagine being in MQ shoes where he doesnt even get a pinch of FX mercy and sympathy for the past 800 years and now that they finally reconciled. (Not satisfactory to me, MXTX 😒). Its gonna be such a whiplash for MQ to receive FX good grace. My heart hurts thinking of that rice bag scene where FX was ready to throw away his prejudice mindset towards MQ and he was actually happy about it and… yeah 😭
Can you imagine post canon MQ being overwhelmed? Hes so used to fx thinking of the worst about him. The angst in me wants MQ to push FX away in post canon. Old habits die hard.
replying to this so so so late but this is the cutest thought ever omggg, i think it would take yearsss for mq to get used to fx's kindness and warmth. he would definitely think fx is trying to trick him at first so he'd be very combative but in the end he'd accept it and get sooo flustered all the time

stop bc mq would weaponize the shit out of it!!! and wouldn't it be kinda silly if mq figured out his gender after using his female form to terrorize fx? maybe he started using it to scare him, and little by little he discovered how comfortable he was in both forms. that + a lil bit of encouragement from sqx...now that would be something...
wait also also also mq flaunting her curves around fx not knowing that fx has stopped finding her scary a while ago and now he's just turned on, not just by mq's female form but the male form as well...

imagine them sitting in the same room at the same time for whatever reason (maybe this is a modern au idk) and qr starts crying because xl was ignoring him (he wasn't, he just looked at something else for two seconds), so naturally xl gets upset because he didn't mean to make rong-er cry so now he's crying, and the sound of those two crying makes mq cry as well. now the three of them are sobbing and their husbands are just like. what the fuck.
their cravings are all wildly different btw. actually i think mq craves xl's food, xl craves ungodly combinations of snacks, and qr loses his appetite and sheds a few pounds even which worries lqq to hell and back

im honestly glad fx was able to take mq's curse in flowersick. i feel like he's sensible enough to descend, which according to xl might stop the flowers
in theory yes, that could potentially save fx, but keep in mind that when xl said that mq was still stable. he was walking and eating and being active, but now he's a carcass of the man he used to be. descending takes time and energy that mq did not have anymore by the start of ch12, so descending could've killed him if he'd tried to do it then. when fx transferred the curse (we'll talk about that more in a second) onto himself, he didn't transfer the seed, he transferred the whole entire thing, roots and flowers and branches and all, so the stage of the flowersickness remains the same, it's still terminal
another thing is, at this point, fx isn't going to try to save himself. that's not something he would even think about because the only thing he was thinking when he kissed mq was that he NEEDED to save him, so the chances of him giving a damn about his own survival are low. besides, he witnessed first hand mq's suffering, and he thinks he deserves to suffer as well, for a million reasons you're probably already familiar with
now, it's important to remember that they don't know much about the flowersickness. yeah depriving the flowers of spiritual energy could starve them or keep them stagnant, but that's only a theory. xl let banyue experiment with a few flowers, the real thing is (was) inside mq's body, thus it was impossible for any of them to know for sure if that would work. and on that same note, the flowersickness isn't exactly an illness or a curse, it's something else entirely. you'll see exactly what i mean next chapter dw
i guess what i'm trying to say here is, fx is fucked, but he's also not! because! i'm the author and i say so!!!
