I AM JUST A GOOFY LITTLE IDIOT YOU CAN'T SAY THINGS LIKE THIS TO ME!! BUT you, whoever you are, and anyone that's ever been kind enough to send me even a quick compliment about the story, are the reason i could never and won't ever declare it permanently unfinished. i owe all of you an ending in exchange for your kind messages because there's not much else i can give you but i wish there was. it's just a silly, melodramatic story posted for fun online but the idea that it means anything to anyone at all is so incredibly dear to me. so for all of us (especially soobin!) i will give ysls its ending as soon as i can. thank you for taking the time to send this and i would love to read your writing, too!

UH YES I CAN BESTIE !!!!

SB: will tell you his favorite series is shin megami tensei, but it's actually fire emblem and he is pretentious about it. plays the new games on classic mode and resets the map each time a party member dies because he can't bear it. utilizes the marriage sim of the new games and is secretly giddy about it and puts a lot of thought into which characters are good together and makes sure he pairs everybody up but if you ask him about it he will say it's a silly mechanic and it's not real fire emblem. says his favorite game is path of radiance, but it's actually awakening.

YJ: disgaea. ridiculous games with ridiculous characters and ridiculous mechanics. loves the unserious nature and comedic script of the series. the infamously absurd level cap of disgaea, rather than the traditional 99, is 999. he always says he's going to get his party members to lvl 999 for bragging rights but he's never managed to stay focused long enough to pull it off. doesn't understand the concepts of queer bait or fan service and genuinely believes the vampire and the werewolf in disgaea 4 are boyfriends. LOVES the prinnies. every time he sees a prinny penguin he gets so happy and shows it to hyuka.

BG: the tales of series. swears it's better than final fantasy (he's wrong). this series is DRAMATIC and it is EMOTIONAL and he gets attached to every single character in every single game. he roots for every hero and sympathizes with every villain and questions the meaning of life and the existence of god every time he plays. is weirdly good at mastering the counterintuitive combat in each title and pulling off the insane combos that nobody really understands how to do and it pisses SB off because he's not good at it. he will stop everything he's doing on the map when a skit appears because he loves watching the characters interact. didn't know who boa was until he heard the opening to tales of graces. his favorite game is tales of zestiria and he is a sormik truther.

TH: would love phantasy star, but is turned off by how old they are. can't even get him to play the PS2 remakes and he would be floored if you told him the original game came out in 1987. i think he'd like etrian odyssey! technically, EO is considered a dungeon crawler, but it shares enough mechanics with JRPGs (including turn-based combat) to overlap. the EO games force the player to draw their own map as they explore, and i think he'd enjoy that. i also think he'd enjoy the bizarre amount of class customization in etrian odyssey games (you can make rangers dual wield bows???). he offends BG deeply because he doesn't really enjoy the story-based remakes of the first two games (those are the only ones BG likes). he just wants to run around and play with the map and customize his party.

HK: pokemon! reminds him of his childhood, and it's a game that every member is familiar enough with that they will play with him when he asks and that's important to him. he is an intellectual, i.e. he only plays with the cute ones (me). spends a lot of time side-questing and breeding pokemon. he puts a lot of thought into naming his team and sometimes treats the game more like a tomogachi than a combat game. alternatively, when he is feeling particularly fond, he will name certain pokemon after the members... then he will send them into battle when said member pisses him off.
